No More Messy Impressions that Make You Gag!

In our desire to always be in the forefront of state-of-the-art orthodontics, we are excited to share with you a new technology at Stevenson Orthodontics.   We now have an oral scanner that will allow us to take a series of three-dimensional photos of your teeth.  The scanner is called iTero. 

Now instead of taking impressions of the teeth, we can scan the teeth.  The images of your teeth and gums are then immediately uploaded to a computer that will allow us to send the digital images of your teeth directly to Invisalign or SureSmile.  We can also send the images to our lab to have orthodontic appliances and custom mouth guards made.

 

The benefits to you, the patient, are significant.  No more impression material in the mouth and no more chances of gagging.  Another benefit is that the scanner produces very accurate images of the teeth allowing for perfect fit of aligners, SureSmile wires, and orthodontic appliances.
