Remember Bethany Hamilton who at the age of 14 was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark while surfing in the Hawaiian Island of Kauai? You may have seen her story in the major motion picture "Soul Surfer" released this past year. What you may not know about her is that she underwent orthodontic treatment with Damon Braces to correct her open bite and crowding. Dr. Stevenson is the preferred provider for Invisalign in the Gresham, Oregon area. Invisalign is a clear alternative for those wanting to change their smile invisibly. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens teeth according to Dr. Stevenson's prescribed treatment.

Aligners are changed about every two weeks. Each patient is sent home with a set of aligners to be worn until the next visit. Appointments in the office are every 8-10 weeks. With visits to the office only every other month and the technology of Invisalign, your teeth will move--little by little--toward the smile you have always wanted!

Holiday Movie Party a Big Success

Thanks to all who came to our movie party on December 23, 2009. We appreciate your donations to Snocap. You were very generous and Dr. Stevenson was able to deliver a large amount of food for those in need. We had 800+ patients, friends, and family attend the showing of "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." We hope you all enjoyed the movie and are looking forward to our annual movie party in December of 2010. Have a safe and wonderful New Year!!

5 Ways to End the Year on a High Note

Avoid that end-of-year productivity slump by working smart and staying strong.
Here's how:
1. Reset. Back in January you started with a list of good intentions, but now you've fallen into bad habits. Choose one area to improve, and work on it daily. Examples: Get up 15 minutes earlier, tackle your toughest task first, give one compliment each day, etc.
2. Get help. Ask someone to be your mentor or your partner. It's easier to be productive when you have someone to turn to for advice, and you'll stay accountable when others are watching your efforts.
3. Build enthusiasm. Visualize how great you'll feel once your space is clean, your project is completed or you've lost weight. Set up a reward system so you can celebrate along the way to reaching your goals.
4. Start small. Tackle one tiny piece of your goal every day so you're always moving forward.
5. Be positive. Take time to have fun, exercise, eat well and enjoy life. It's tough to stay in a slump when you feel great.
